Two local firms in Irish Made awards shortlist

A Clonakilty businesswoman is the only Cork person to be shortlisted in this year's Home section of the Irish Made Awards.

A CLONAKILTY businesswoman is the only Cork person to be shortlisted in this year’s Home section of the Irish Made Awards.

The awards, organised by Irish Country Magazine, will be announced in October, and Etain Hickey of Etain Hickey Collections in Clonakilty is one of two local companies shortlisted.

Etain’s shop and gallery contains a large selection of Fair Trade gifts, unusual jewellery, hand made cards and lots of local and Irish-made and designed art and crafts.

A second West Cork company has been shortlisted. Natural oils firm Modern Botany in Schull has been named as a finalist in the Beauty section of the awards.

The overall winner will receive an advertising package worth €5,000 and each category winner will feature in the October issue of Irish Country Magazine.
