Inchydoney basking in glow of Best Spa title at Travel awards

INCHYDONEY Island Lodge Hotel & Spa was recently named ‘Best Spa and Leisure Offering’ at the Travel Media Awards 2018.

The  glamourous ceremony took place at The Shelbourne Hotel last week and were attended by a cross section of hospitality industry experts, venues and agents.

 Honoured to be awarded the prestigious title of ‘Best Spa and Leisure Offering’ by the Travel Media Awards, Ruth McCarthy director of sales & marketing at Inchydoney Island Lodge Hotel & Spa was in attendance to accept the award on the day. 

She said: ‘We are very proud of the hotel and the dedicated team we have working with us.

 ‘Our team is so passionate about each guest that walks through our door making Inchydoney a home away from home, enjoying the setting, good food and treatments the Island Spa provides,’ added Ms McCarthy.

Celebrating 20 years in business this year, Inchydoney was the first in Ireland to introduce a proper Thalassotherapy spa with a saltwater pool and thalassotherapy treatments. Therapeutic sea-water from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean outside is pumped into the saltwater pool daily and heated to 31 degrees.
