PIONEERING Cork company AG Associates, with a strong West Cork client base, has been named Best Small Practice at the prestigious Irish Accountancy Awards.
Founder and managing partner Angela O’Leary, whose family hail from Kilmichael, said she was ‘delighted’ to receive the award which follows the firm’s hugely successful roll-out of Clarity, a tailor-made online accounting service for SMEs which allows clients to check their financial performance in real time.
A major factor in AG Associates’ success lies in its willingness to embrace new technologies and, as Angela adds, by ‘moving accounts and book-keeping to the cloud.’ The multi award-winning company also encourages it clients to move with the times, and gives them special training in online accounting packages that ultimately saves them time and money.
Angela said: ‘We researched the market and just as I saw a gap 11 years ago when setting up AG Associates, I saw a gap last year. Online book-keeping software is marvellous when accompanied by the knowledge and experience of an accountant.’
Angela said many Cork SMEs have been very quick to embrace the new technology.
