Alex, an 11 year-old 5th class student in Drimoleague National School, and his family, continue to support Dr Jason and the West Cork Rapid Response as they are eternally grateful that Dr Jason saved the life of his uncle Daniel, when he was critically injured when a tractor fell on top of him in 2009.

Daniel suffered severe crush injuries and would not be alive today were it not for the lifesaving treatment by Dr Jason at the scene of the accident. Thankfully, Daniel made a full recovery and is now happily living and working in Australia.

Alex thanked everyone in the Drimoleague, Dunmanway and Ballineen area who supported him on St Stephen’s Day. It is testament to the high esteem that Dr Jason is held in in the West Cork area.
