CULTURE Night takes place on Friday, September 21st from 5pm until 11pm and sometimes later, across museums, galleries, historic buildings, artists’ studios and other cultural venues around Cork.

At Cork County Hall there is a fashion show for established Cork designers to showcase their creations which kicks off at 7.30pm on Floor 16.

Renowned Kinsale based design label Charlote & Jane are amongst the featured designers as well as Elizabeth Christina Designs, a multi-award millinery label also from Kinsale. Oysterhaven-based Irish Valentine Design will showcase Smock, which offers a fresh perspective on a tried and true classic and Sharon Rose Mckeever, based in Baltimore who worked with Bebhinn Maten for many years before branching out on her own in 2007, will show pieces from her new collection.

Though free, booking is essential for this event.

Sculptor Don Cronin will show a collection of works which are functional and non functional: motorcycles and sculptures, to be exhibited at The Old Mill in Kinsale between 6pm and 9.30pm.

In Ballydehob, Levi’s Cornerhouse hosts a very special event called ‘Mama Kin Spender Go West Go Choral’, featuring Australian songwriter Mama Kin and producer Tommy Spender collaborating with the local Mizen Choir.

There will be two performances at 5.30pm and 9.30pm.

In Baltimore, Dún na Séad Castle will host master fiddlers Kevin Burke and Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, and on Bere Island there will be an exhibition in the Bere Island Heritange Centre of art work from local artists.

There are more than 100 other events across the county and more information can be found at culturenightcorkcounty.ie
