This Friday 10th August sees the return of the popular RNLI Baltimore’s fundraising Cocktail Party & Auction held by Baltimore Sailing Club to assist its local volunteer RNLI’s branch in saving lives at sea.  The Club is encouraging visitors to the area and club members who enjoy the facilities in Baltimore and the region to pop along to the Clubhouse at 6.30 and bid for lots which are suited to all budgets and interests.
Lots include concert tickets, leisure vouchers such as those for Munster Rugby, golf in Bantry and Fota, kayaking, whale watching, ferry trips and several prestigious hotel vouchers for Castlemartyr, The K Club, Raddisson Blu, Celtic Ross Hotel and The Talbot Group.  Paintings and etchings from local artists and photographers, trips on private boats, along with hampers, a fish platter and prosecco, dinners/lunches in wonderful restaurants, berths in Galway Port, quirky affordable classic wines from Fields and dinner for 8 people cooked by the Copplestones will surely be of interest to many people.
Fundraising is a crucial to RNLI Baltimore as there is a constant draw on funds to keep the busy service afloat and effective and their unselfish work is hugely respected in the area.  Baltimore Sailing Club is urging its members, friends and visitors to  come and enjoy what promises to be fun-filled evening in the company of people who genuinely wish to support their gallant volunteer crews.
