SUCCESS breeds success as provincial honours took a familiar route back to Cork after teriffic success for Carbery Rangers and Kanturk in the the GAA-promoted Munster Senior Scór finals hosted in Cappamore.

Once again, Carbery Rangers kept the West flags floating on a splendid win in the Ballad Group category to regain a title last won in 2016.

Their double fare titled ‘Molly gCuach Ní Chuilleannain’ and ‘Eyes of an Irishman’ from a quintet comprising Seán O’Regan, Clare O’Regan, Sinéad O’Regan, Danny Collins and Ciara O’Gorman.

The Rosscarbery club held off the best intentions of JK Brackens (Tipperary) to sample success.

Elsewhere, the St James’ Leiriú involving Kathleen O’Sullivan, Rachel Hodnett, Deirdre Hodnett, Jonathan O’Donovan, Finbarr McCarthy, Shane Field and Seán O’Reilly came up short to Feenagh/Kilmeedy from Limerick.

The triumphant winners from Carbery Rangers and Kanturk go forward to represent Cork and Munster in the All-Ireland finals in Sligo on Saturday, April 14th.
