CORK GAA clubs have been encouraged to give their full support to the 2017/2018 Cork GAA Clubs Draw by chairman of the draw, Pearse Murphy.

‘I can’t stress highly enough the importance of each and every club being fully supportive of this draw and selling the maximum number of tickets,’ Murphy said.

‘By actively participating and encouraging your team mates to do the same, you are not only giving back to Cork GAA and raising substantial funds for your own club, but you are also in with the chance of winning many cash prizes.

‘The first two draws take place on November 3rd and this will be a huge event for all involved, as it incorporates both September and October prize funds, so if you haven’t already entered make sure to register before this date.

‘If you’re not in you can’t win!’

First established in June 1992 by the initiative of the Cork County Board, the Cork GAA Clubs Draw was set up to raise much-needed funds for Cork GAA clubs in a risk-free manner and in the process, to offer incentives to club members and entrants through a wide selection of impressive prizes.

Now in its 26th year, the draw has maintained its fundamental principles and continues to create winners each month, while also investing back into its clubs and the area of Youth and Capital Development within the county. In fact, a minimum of 45 per cent of the funds generated every month by each individual club is paid back into that club in order to assist in the funding of capital projects and the day-to-day running of the club.

September and October get the 2017/2018 series of draws off to a very promising start on Friday, November 3rd, at 9pm, with a prize fund of €20,000 going to the first-place winner along with a pair of tickets for the eagerly-anticipated sold-out Ed Sheeran concert at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Other prizes range from €5,000 to €1,000 in cash, with hotel breaks and gift vouchers worth up to €500 allocated to the winners chosen from sixth to 20th place.
