Skibb rowers will be in action at the worlds in Sarasota-Bradenton in Florida

GOOD news for rowing fans as RTÉ will have live coverage of the 2017 World Rowing Championships that begin this Sunday.

Skibbereen Rowing Club’s Paul O’Donovan, Mark O’Donovan, Shane O’Driscoll and Denise Walsh will all be bidding for world glory with Gary O’Donovan as a reserve following his recent sickness.

RTÉ will show live coverage of the event from Thursday, September 28th on RTÉ2.

Joe Stack will be joined in studio by Neville Maxwell and Sinead Lynch (née Jennings), with commentary from Ger Canning and Sam Lynch. Evanne Ni Chuillin will also be reporting from Sarasota.

Coverage begins at the following times:

Thursday, September 28th: 3pm

Friday, September 29th: 4.30pm

Saturday, September 30th: 4.30pm

Sunday, October 1st: 3.30pm

Sunday, October 1st: 8pm (Highlights)
