What’s the one thing you can’t live without? My phone. 

What would I find in your fridge right now? Food. 

Name one element your sport could/should take from another? I think I’d like the challenge of a long distance race like the Tour de France. 

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car? I usually panic because I’ve yet to become a competent driver.

Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career (and why)? All the athletes at Skibbereen Rowing Club because they motivate me on a daily basis. 

Pick two celebrities to be your parents: James Kavanagh and William Murray. 

What do you think cats dream of? Mice. 

If you could play any other sport for one day what would you play? Slalom skiing – the adrenaline rush would be unreal!

If you joined a circus, what would you perform? The trapeze, although I’m not too sure if I like heights very much.

If you could get rid of one county in Ireland what would it be and why? Dublin – because Cork’s the real capital!

What would you do if you found a penguin in your freezer? I’d set him free on the Ilen River.
