Tony Cascarino confirmed as guest speaker for West Cork Sports Star awards night

FORMER Republic of Ireland soccer star Tony Cascarino has been unveiled as the guest speaker for the Celtic Ross Hotel West Cork Sports Star Awards gala banquet night on Saturday, January 9^th.

Cascarino made 88 appearances for Ireland and scored 19 goals, and his career included spells at Millwall, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Celtic, Marseille and Nancy, to name but a few.

In a year where Ireland will compete at the 2016 European Championships in France, Sky Sports pundit Cascarino is certain to be a big hit at these popular West Cork sports awards that will honour the best of West Cork sport.

On the night, the overall 2015 West Cork Sports Star of the Year will be unveiled, while Munster Rugby Branch President Bertie Smith will be presented with the Hall of Fame award, Skibbereen Rowing Club will be awarded the 2015 Club of the Year award, and Clonakilty dual GAA ace David Lowney will accept the West Cork Youth Sports Star award.
