Revenue seizes controlled drug worth €80,000 in Cork
On Tuesday, Revenue officers, working in an intelligence led joint operation together with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Cork Drugs Unit, seized a package containing 1.5 kilos of mescaline powder, at a residential address on the Lee Road in Cork.
Mescaline is a psychedelic substance prohibited under the Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 to 2016.
The estimated street value of the seized substance is €80,000.
A Spanish man in his forties was arrested by Gardaí under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
