Mass-goers left waiting in Goleen

The church in Goleen.

GOLEEN mass-goers were left looking for some divine intervention at noon mass last Sunday.

The congregation had a 15 minute wait before Parish Priest Fr Anthony Buckley arrived on the altar after earlier wondering among themselves what was going on.

Fr Buckley had earlier celebrated mass in Schull and  wasn’t scheduled to be in Goleen.

However, a parishioner said it was understood the situation was caused by another priest being unable to access the church, due to a mix-up with keys.
