A major search is currently underway to find Batman in Castletownbere.

AN APB has gone out for a missing Batman toy in Castletownbere belonging to a seven-year-old boy after it was mistakenly sold at the St. Vincent de Paul shop in Castletownbere yesterday.

The appeal was raised by the child’s mother Agnes Stefanska, when she posted a letter on social media outlining their plight.

In the letter Agnes said that her son had left his favourite Batman toy behind when they visited the charity shop yesterday. However when she went back to collect it one of the volunteers told her that the toy had been mistakenly sold.

‘My son is devastated and he has not stopped crying since he realised it was gone,’ said Agnes in the letter.

She is willing to buy back the figure from whoever bought in in the shop. Agnes called into the shop this morning again to see if there was any update but so far no one has come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call Agnes on 083-851121
