Classic cars ready to roll into Kinsale

THE Blue Haven Kinsale Vintage Rally takes place from May 6th-9th. 

Over 120 amazing vintage cars will be on display in the pretty port town over the weekend, and a selection will be on display on Saturday May 7th outside The Blue Haven Hotel from 9.30am.

Now entering its 27th year, the rally is widely regarded as one of the premier events on the Irish classic car calendar.

Following the twinning of Kinsale with the Welsh town of Mumbles in 1990, the local vintage car club also decided to twin with the town’s own car club, the Swansea Historic Vehicle Register. 

Each year sees large numbers of Swansea’s car enthusiasts make the trip to Kinsale for the May rally – a gesture that is returned each July when the club makes the return trip to Swansea.

The Kinsale Vintage & Classic Motor Club was originally established in 1988 by a group of classic car enthusiasts. 

The club has since grown to a current membership of over 120 members, all with a common passion – their love of driving and preserving classic cars.
