FIRSTLY, let me say this is one of the most difficult and emotional things I’ve ever had to do and I know it will be a huge shock to everyone who knows me personally.

It is particularly sad as we start a new year, which should be all about facing the future together. However, after 17 wonderful years, we’ve decided to call it a day.

Let me say that the decision was entirely mine and not hers. When I saw her for the first time away back on January 4th, 1999, I knew she was the one for me. We got together and travelled many roads and faced the ups and downs together.

In all those years, there was hardly a day that we were apart and we went nearly everywhere together during all those years. We were practically inseparable. Some of you will have seen me with a younger model in recent times and I suppose things went downhill really then.
We could have went on but I felt a hard decision would have to be made sooner rather than later and it was time to stall.

I’d like to thank her for all the great memories and adventures we had together. I will never forget them and I have no regrets.
And so, I say goodbye to her.

I have no problem if she gets together with someone else (and indeed I really hope she does as she has so much to give to the right person).

Slán a chara. It was great while it lasted ...
