IF you’re a woman in business in this area, Network Ireland’s West Cork branch wants to hear from you.

The new branch of the networking organisation for women was launched by Drimoleague woman and general director of RTÉ, Dee Forbes, at the beginning of March and the West Cork branch is now looking forward to the Network Ireland’s National Businesswoman of the Year Awards for 2018.

‘We have 40 members from across West Cork and we want to invite women who are in business to join with us and avail of the support and mentoring that comes with membership,’ Maeve McCarthy told The Southern Star

Network Ireland was founded in 1983 to encourage and support women in business.

From budding entrepreneurs, to SME owners and professionals across the business, charities, arts and the public sector, Network Ireland has over 1,000 members and 13 branches across the country.

‘With the deadline for entries for the Network Ireland’s National Businesswoman of the Year Awards fast approaching we want to invite any West Cork business women who want to promote their businesses to join the West Cork branch,’ Maeve said.

By entering the Network Ireland Business awards, members have a chance to be one of the Network Ireland Regional Branch winners. Regional branch winners will then go forward to compete at the Network Ireland National Business Awards. There is also a category at this year’s awards to recognise the ‘Best Use of Digital in your Business’.

Maeve added: ‘If you would like to join with other businesswomen in West Cork, to showcase your business, or to avail of the support and mentoring that Network Ireland offers, you can sign up by logging on to Network Ireland’s website at networkireland.ie.’

Interested women can also  use the promotion code, WC25, and the deadline for entries to this year’s National Businesswoman of the Year Awards for 2018 is Friday April 13th.
