N71 at Connonagh re-opened following collision last night

Gardaí are investigating the cause of a three vehicle collision on the N71 at Cloonkeen East, Leap last night.

The N71 at Connonagh is now re-opened following last night’s  three vehicle collision. A  man in his 20s remains in a stable condition at CUH following the incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00pm last night and a man in his 20s, who was the sole occupant of one car was taken to CUH with serious but non life threatening injuries. A man in his 40s, who was driving a van was also taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. There were no injuries reports by a female who was in the third vehicle.

The road was closed since last night to enable gardaí carry out a forensic examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
