Ballineen Fine Foods Ltd has continued its successful growth in the UK retail market by securing a listing in over 400 Tesco stores.

BALLINEEN Fine Foods Ltd has continued its successful growth in the UK retail market by securing a listing in over 400 Tesco stores.

The company’s Irish sausages in a light crispy batter, one of its flagship products in the popular Chip Shop Style range, will now be available in 400 UK Tesco stores from Monday (March 13th). 

This latest deal means the firm’s products will now be available in over 4,000 UK retail stores.

Brendan Dixon, sales and marketing at Ballineen Fine Foods told The Southern Star: ‘Following on from our continued success in the Irish & UK retail sector, we’re excited to announce this launch with Tesco. We have worked with Tesco Ireland for many years and this launch with Tesco UK further enhances our brand presence in the
UK marketplace.’ Based in the IDA Industrial Estate in Bandon, the firm was established in 1993 by husband and wife team Kevin and Marie Hennessy.  

Over the last 24 years the company has built an impressive reputation for the manufacture and supply of a range of pre-cooked breakfast products, flamegrilled, handheld burger snack products, and a range of battered and breaded meat products.  

The brand is now available in a host of UK retailers, including Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

Ballineen is a member of the Bord Bia-led Origin Green programme aimed at deliver ing verified commitment to sustainability, all along the food supply chain.
