KICKING off the festive season, Network Cork will hold its Christmas dinner and networking event on Thursday, December 8th.

Guest speaker will be Primark expert Breege O’Donoghue, who will share her tips for success honed over 37 years at the forefront of Penneys and Primark’s business development.

Bringing to an end a successful year for Network Cork 2016, the event will take place in the luxurious surroundings of Hayfield Manor in Cork city. Ms O’Donoghue has just recently retired from the pivotal role she held at the helm of the Irish chain’s global expansion, having recently won the Lifetime Achievement award at the Irish Tatler business woman of the awards.

She joined Penney’s in 1979, when she set up the company’s first human resources department at a time when the company had 24 outlets. It now has more than 300 stores in 11 countries with 60,000 employees.

Speaking ahead of the event and reflecting on her year as Network Cork president Joan Walsh, founder of Partnership International, said ‘We are looking forward to celebrating what was a strong year for Network Cork, when membership increased 25%.  We are happy to end a successful year on a high note with such a well-respected legendary businesswoman.’

The event is open to members and non-members. Tickets are €55 and advance booking is required at https://networkcorkchristmas2016.eventbrite.ie
